Cumberland County doesn’t lack talent at the position this season, with four veterans jumping off the page as the cream of the tailback crop.
The Four Horsemen — South View’s Matthew Pemberton, Pine Forest’s DJ Jones, Terry Sanford’s Dorian Clark and Westover’s Keyshown Lindsey — accounted for 5,418 rushing yards and 58 rushing scores in 2018.
Tigers coach Rodney Brewington noted the talent at the position on teams throughout the county, listing representatives from each squad while shaking his head at the thought of slowing them down.
