Double-secret probation

When the dean tires of the Deltas' antics, they're put on double-secret probation, a term that has since entered the vernacular.

Bluto's speech

In an attempt to motivate his brothers, Bluto, played by John Belushi, says, "Did we give up after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? ... Nothing is over until we decide it is!"

Toga! Toga! Toga!

This scene has spurred countless toga parties across the country in the last 40 years.

A bar in the basement of what is now the Northwest Christian University School of Professional Studies on East 11th Avenue played a role in the fictional Delta Tau Chi fraternity toga party scene in the movie “Animal House.” The area is used for storage now and is not open to the public.
